Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy describes the use of cookies and other tracking technologies used on the website https://www.ventivegroup.com by Ventive S.r.l., with registered office at
Ventive S.r.l. con sede in Via di Affogalasino, 34 – 00148 Roma, e-mail: info@ventivegroup.com, in its capacity as data controller.

This notice applies to cookies and, more generally, to other tracking technologies that allow information to be stored on the user’s device or access to information already stored therein, including local storage, session storage, pixels, tags, online identifiers and similar technologies, to the extent that they are used through the website.

1. What cookies and other tracking technologies are

Cookies are small text files that websites send to the user’s device and that are then sent back to the same websites on subsequent visits. Technologies other than cookies may perform similar functions and, where they allow information to be stored on or accessed from the user’s terminal equipment, they are subject to the same transparency requirements and, where necessary, to the data subject’s consent.

2. Classification criteria applied

For the purposes of this notice, Ventive applies a classification based on the specific purpose pursued by each tracker.

Trackers are therefore classified into the following categories:

  • technical/strictly necessary cookies, where they are strictly necessary for security, session management, language settings, spam prevention or the provision of a functionality expressly requested by the user;
  • analytics cookies, where they are used to measure traffic, website usage and performance, without being used for advertising or profiling purposes;
  • marketing cookies, where they are used to measure campaign effectiveness, attribute conversions, understand the source of leads or optimise promotional activities without being used, in that specific configuration, to create individual profiles or to personalise advertisements based on the user’s behaviour;
  • profiling cookies, where they are used for remarketing, audience building, advertising personalisation, cross-device tracking, matching with first-party data or linking browsing activity to a profile/contact.

The classification of each individual tool therefore depends on its actual use in the specific configuration of the website and not merely on the commercial name of the service.

3. How we collect and manage preferences

The website uses a Consent Management Platform to collect, store and update the user’s preferences relating to cookies and other tracking technologies.

On the first visit, only technical/strictly necessary cookies are activated; all optional trackers remain disabled by default.

Consent may be given through a clear affirmative action, for example by clicking the “Accept all” button, or by selecting, on a granular basis in the preference management panel, the Analytics, Marketing and Profiling categories.

Mere continuation of browsing or page scrolling does not constitute consent. Closing the banner by clicking the X keeps the default settings in place and therefore allows the use of technical/strictly necessary cookies only. The user may change or withdraw their choices at any time through the “Manage Cookies” link, or an equivalent link, available in the website footer. The banner is not displayed at every visit: the choice is recorded and is not requested again before 6 months have elapsed, unless there are substantial changes to the processing operations, it is not possible to verify the preference already expressed, or other similar cases provided for by applicable law apply.

Access to the website is not conditional upon consent to optional cookies.

4. Categories of cookies and tracking technologies used

4.1 Technical/strictly necessary cookies

This category includes trackers that are strictly necessary for the operation of the website or for the provision of a service expressly requested by the user. They include, by way of example:

  • technical cookies and identifiers of the consent management platform, which are necessary to store and document the preferences expressed;
  • session, authentication, security and load balancing cookies relating to the website infrastructure and CMS;
  • technical cookies related to language and browsing continuity, including those used by WordPress and WPML components;
  • application protection and anti-spam tools, including those used by reCAPTCHA or equivalent components, where strictly necessary to protect forms and services requested by the user;
  • any technical components necessary to display or complete forms and content requested by the user, to the extent strictly necessary for their provision.

These tools do not require the user’s consent and are used within the limits of Article 122(1) of the Italian Privacy Code.

4.2 Analytics cookies

The website uses analytics tools to measure traffic, understand how pages are used, assess performance and improve the structure and content of the website. In particular, the website uses Google Analytics 4 with the following configuration:

  • loaded in Basic Mode, with the tag activated only after consent to the Analytics category has been given;
  • no sharing of audiences from Google Analytics 4 with Google Ads;
  • Reporting Identity configured in Observed mode;
  • no activation of the analytics tag in Advanced Mode or with pre-consent pings.

In this configuration, analytics cookies are treated as optional tools and are activated only after consent has been obtained. Trackers that may fall within this category include, by way of example, _ga, _ga_[ID], FPGSID, FPID, FPLC and similar identifiers used to measure traffic and sessions.

If the analytics configuration were to be used in the future also for marketing or profiling purposes, the relevant tools would be reclassified according to the specific purpose pursued.

4.3 Marketing cookies

This category includes tools used to measure campaign effectiveness, attribute conversions, understand the source of traffic or leads and optimise promotional activities without using, in the specific active configuration, behavioural profiling mechanisms or individual advertising personalisation. Depending on the configuration actually adopted, this category may include conversion tracking and campaign measurement features offered by platforms such as Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, Microsoft Advertising and HubSpot, when used solely for measurement, attribution or marketing reporting purposes.

By way of example, this category may include identifiers and tools used to:

  • measure the completion of a form or another conversion action originating from a campaign;
  • attribute a conversion to a specific traffic source or campaign;
  • assess the effectiveness of promotional activities without creating custom audience segments or personalising advertisements based on the user’s behaviour.

Marketing cookies, where they are not technical cookies, are also activated only after the user’s consent has been obtained.

4.4 Profiling cookies

This category includes tools used to analyse the user’s behaviour, create audiences or segments, carry out remarketing, personalise advertisements and promotional content, link browsing data to first-party data or to a profile/contact, or perform matching and enrichment activities in relation to the user’s profile.

Based on the configuration currently adopted, this category includes, by way of example:

  • Google Ads, where used for remarketing on the Display Network or on YouTube;
  • Google Ads Enhanced Conversions, where used to improve matching and the personalisation of advertising activities;
  • Google Signals, where used for advertising or cross-device features;
  • Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API, including through server-side configurations, where used for remarketing, audience building or advertising personalisation;
  • LinkedIn Insight Tag and LinkedIn Conversions API, including through server-side configurations, where used for matched audiences, retargeting or advertising profiling;
  • Microsoft Advertising Remarketing / Bing Ads Remarketing;
  • HubSpot, where used to associate browsing data, form submissions, campaign source and marketing interactions with an identified or identifiable contact, or for audience building and profiling-based marketing automation;
  • third-party content or embeds, such as YouTube videos, where their loading results in the placement of remarketing, behavioural advertising or profiling cookies.

Trackers that may fall within this category include, by way of example, _gcl_au, _gcl_aw, _gcl_gs, _gcl_ls, _fbp, IDE, test_cookie, bcookie, li_gc, lidc, UserMatchHistory, MUID, hubspotutk, __hstc, __hssc, __hssrc and other identifiers linked to the services indicated above.

No event intentionally intended for profiling purposes is activated before the relevant consent has been collected.

5. Server-side tracking

The website uses a server-side tracking infrastructure through Stape as a technical intermediary provider, with hosting and configuration designed to minimise data. Based on the configuration adopted, this infrastructure may be used to route events to analytics, marketing or profiling platforms expressly activated by the user. The server-side infrastructure is not used to send events belonging to optional categories before the corresponding consent has been given. The data controller adopts technical configurations designed to limit the parameters transmitted to those that are relevant and necessary in relation to the purposes pursued. The use of a technical intermediary provider does not change the classification of the trackers: optional tools remain subject to the user’s consent for the relevant category.

6. List of providers and details of trackers

The updated list of providers, purposes, retention periods and individual cookies or other tracking technologies is always available through the “Manage cookie preferences” panel. That panel forms an integral part of this notice.

As of the date of this policy, the main services and providers involved include, depending on the relevant category and the configuration actually active: the consent management platform, Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, YouTube, Meta, LinkedIn, Microsoft Advertising, HubSpot, Stape, Cloudflare, WordPress, WPML, reCAPTCHA and any technical components of the forms and the website.

Links to third-party providers’ notices

For ease of reference, links to the privacy and/or cookie notices of the main third-party providers mentioned in this Cookie Policy are provided below. The updated list of providers, purposes, retention periods and individual trackers remains available through the “Manage cookie preferences” panel.

7. Legal basis

The use of cookies and other technical tools is permitted within the limits of Article 122(1) of the Italian Privacy Code, as it is aimed at carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network or is strictly necessary to provide an information society service expressly requested by the user. The use of analytics cookies, marketing cookies and profiling cookies is instead based on the user’s prior, freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous consent. Consents relating to the Analytics, Marketing and Profiling categories must be managed separately in the preference panel and may be withdrawn at any time as easily as they were given.

8. Duration of cookies and retention of preferences

The duration of each cookie or other identifier varies depending on the service used, the technical configuration and the browser settings. The updated durations can be viewed in the preference management panel. The record of the user’s choice regarding cookies is retained through technical tools suitable to document consent or the preservation of the default settings, in accordance with the applicable time limits and principles.

9. Transfers of data to countries outside the EEA

Some third-party providers used by the website may process personal data in countries located outside the European Economic Area, including countries that may not provide a level of protection equivalent to that guaranteed in the European Union. Where this occurs, the processing is based on the instruments provided for by applicable law, such as adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses or other appropriate safeguards, where required. Further information is available in the notices of the individual providers indicated in the preference management panel or may be requested from the data controller.

10. Changing or withdrawing consent

The user may at any time:

  • access the “Manage Cookies” link, or an equivalent link, available in the website footer;
  • change the Analytics, Marketing and Profiling categories on a granular basis;
  • withdraw consent previously given;
  • delete cookies from their browser or configure the browser to block them, taking into account that some technical features of the website may be affected.

Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before such withdrawal.

11. Data subject rights

In the cases provided for by applicable law, the user may exercise the rights set out in Articles 15 et seq. of the GDPR, including the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and, where applicable, data portability. The user also has the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).

For requests relating to the processing of personal data carried out through the website or to exercise their rights, the user may contact
Ventive S.r.l., Via di Affogalasino, 34 – 00148 Roma, e-mail: info@ventivegroup.com.
